Baltimore Sun - Mar. 29 (Editorial) - The arrest of 13 Department of Transportation employees who are accused of participating in a regular payday ritual of drinking and gambling on the job raises any number of questions, the most important of which is whether the city even knew that several of the men had prior criminal records.
Investigative Voice - By Stephen Janis - Mar. 29 (Editorial) - Friday afternoon, Investigative Voice sat in the district courthouse on Fayette Street to watch yet another city employee scandal grind its way through the process. On the docket was the city’s lawsuit against one Dennis J. McLaughlin, the child molester who collected $12,700 in sick pay that the city Inspector General concluded was fraudulently obtained while the former DPW worker served out an eight-month prison sentence in 2008 for taking a 13-year-old girl to a seedy Pulaski Highway motel and forcing her to perform a sex act.
NewsTrust Rating: Not rated yet - See Info » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer

Mar. 27) hit an official and auspicious nerve late yesterday. In an unprecedented move the Department of Transportation suspended the superior in charge of the 13 DOT employees who were arrested Friday for illegal gambling while sipping cognac on the job.
NewsTrust Rating: Not rated yet - See Info » - Review It Visit NewsTrust | About | Sign Up | Disclaimer
