Transgender Gap

Many in the trans community hope to rise, phoenix-like, from the ashes and pass a bill next year. There are signs they may. Following the McDonald’s attack, for instance, Gov. Martin O’Malley issued a statement pledging to work for “even greater protections for transgendered people” in the next legislative session. Appleton takes the time to really explore the issues in the transgender community, does some great sourcing, and educates the general public about some serious issues of safety and civil liberties.
