City teachers receive career 'paths' under new contract

Baltimore City teachers were notified last week of their new career "paths" and salaries by the school system, one of the first developments of the landmark Baltimore Teachers Union contract ratified last fall that promised more opportunities for promotion and compensation in the district. Overall a well-written and thoughtful piece. I would have liked to see feedback from someone who opposed the new policy and their perspective on the path they were placed in. Even from maybe a couple of people to determine if attitudes have shifted. Without that, the story seems a little like more good news about a good idea, instead of more news about an idea being tested.
