There is no mention of Greenberg's status as a key employee of billionaire Pierre Omidyar, which is not responsible reporting, given this statement in the article, "Greenwald said the government has not informed his legal counsel whether or not he could face any potential charges," GG's legal counsel is no doubt provided by his employer, an Omidyar journalism venture. Article raises more questions than it answers.

Article is careful about being balanced, given the subject matter. There are sidebars with direct quotes under the heading, "A great day', but for who?" Responses are given by The Nation, Common Cause, Salon, Club of Growth and the original plaintiff, the owner of the Coalmont Electrical Development Corporation.

Justice Stephen Breyer took the unusual step of reading his dissent from the bench. "Today’s decision eviscerates our nation’s campaign finance laws.” More »

Is this an op-ed, a columnist article, or a local news story? The content was factual, the language wasn't neutral though.

Ms. Moskowitz is suing the new mayor and has been sued 18 times by the teachers’ union. This is shameful, privatizing education using public funds without benefit to students.

The problem is that the hedge fund chaps who adore charters tend toward the triumphalist. They rarely note the downside…. At Harlem Village Academy Leadership School, ... More »

The fact that Boeing's Charleston plant is non-union does NOT seem to be advantageous, as it does not encourage hiring AND retaining highly skilled aviation mechanics, so essential for Boeing 787 production.

In Everett, though new hires may come in with few aviation skills, they work alongside veterans with 30 or 40 years experience and in the process absorb the meticulous work ... More »

I was puzzled by the author's word choice, as they suggest something that was not made clear. Why was Lerner's public apology "unexpected"? Also,"act of contrition" and "planted question" are odd.

I did not find this article to be a good piece of journalism because it did not make much sense to me. In the second paragraph, they say "reasonable expenses." I have no idea to what they are referring to. They should have added examples of reasonable expenses. This article used too many big words right after another. Maybe I need to learn more definitions to words, but I don't think that everyone knows what "unambiguous" means. The eighth paragraph makes no sense to me. I have no idea what they are talking about! The conclusion was weak too. ending with statistics was not the best idea. that should be in the "boring and important" section, if they even used the 5-box story outline.

Ellie Kesselman Comment:

I am not familiar with the “boring and important” section of the 5-box story outline.

This doesn't seem fair, that Sprint "breached Federal Communications Commission guidelines of 2006 that prohibited carriers from using intercept charges to recover costs of modifying “equipment, facilities or services” to comply with the Communications Assistance in Law Enforcement Act." Why does Sprint need to cover all the costs of complying with wiretapping demands?

This was excellent journalism. The reporter took Twitter content, and quickly used it to develop a transparent news report, with context, experts consulted, all with perfect grammar and readability. In the latter, the author surpassed the BBC.
